I set up the router per the instructions. Signal was intermittent and range was very weak. Went over to the next room and signal dropped. Called the helpline on Saturday to see why this was the case. Rep went over a few things and told me that the modem was probably defective. The rep stated that they would ship out another modem on Monday and that I should receive it near the end of the week. I asked him what the fail rate was on the routers and he stated it was about 0.8% and that other companies are at about 1.5%. Then I asked if he could expedite the shipment since I am paying for my internet services and I can't use my internet without the router. Rep stated that he can't because if they expedited the shipment, the cost would be more than the cost of the modem. You would think that they would not worry about themselves and accommodate the customers that received the "defective" modems, especially if it was only at 0.8% If a company's product fail, they should own up to that and accommodate the customer. sounds like they were only worried about their profit instead of the satisfaction of their customer.
